​For over a year, Etr has been a diy promoter run by members of bands focused on gigs that are fun, safe, easy and inspired by the ethos of early diy punk. we were sick of how promoters and the industry treated us, especially as young alternative, queer or neurodiverse teens.  So we thought fuck it, we'll do it ourselves. Etr stands for "extra terrestrial records", and as the name implies, we have always wanted to strive to be more. So then we were a collective full of wonderful photographers, musicians and artists, etc who run on passion & love instead of corporate greed & money/profits. We intend to make a difference in not only in our scene but also in scenes all over the UK and spread political awareness, fundraise for charities, etc. 

 

WE PRIORITISE OUR GIGS BEING AS ACCESSIBLE & CHEAP AS POSSIBLE, DIY OR DIE. You want  to know about upcoming shows? Drop us a message or an Email, or simply look at our page for posters! Everything we do is DIY, MUCH LIKE THE ETHOS OF EARLY PUNK. PUT SIMPLY THIS MEANS THAT we don't have a big budget. The music industry is fucked up, much like most things in the UK.  We have a great dedicated team of people in ETR to help make all these things possible.

 

Another thing to note: this is a safe space for the alienated to feel seen, heard & welcome. Not a space to be made alien. Don't be a dick; it should be simple! if you ever feel unsafe at a gig, let someone at ETR know straight away!​
